Priceline Products Worth Buying

There are a few things I don't like in life. One of them is wasting my money, especially when you grow up and you realise you need every cent to go towards bills and mortgages. So when I'm looking at purchasing some new products, I go to online reviews and ask my friends for their opinions on products I'm interested in, to see if they are worth spending my money on. The things I ask myself  when looking to purchase new products are: affordability, does it perform, is it just a trend of the moment, will I use this more than once, and can I get it on sale. Continue reading to see the products I love from the Priceline store.

Real Techniques

Real Techniques 2-pack Miracle Complexion Sponges RRP$26.99

I've tried many different sponges and this is an exact dupe for the Beauty Blender! But of course more affordable. I use my Real Techniques sponge every day, and I even have backups. It is a must buy! Great for those looking to create a flawless makeup look.

Eco Tools

EcoTools Brushes

I love EcoTools brushes, not just this the one pictured, but I love their whole range. They are incredibly soft and extremely well made. I have had mine for many years now and I haven't seen any shed any bristle. Their products are 100% vegan and their packaging and dyes used are earth- conscious

Skin Republic

Skin Republic Collagen Eye Patches 3-pack RRP$9.99

I thoroughly enjoyed using these patches, they made my under eye area look awake, refreshed and hydrated. For that price you cant go wrong! I can't wait to try more expensive versions available to see how they compare.

Models Prefer

Models Prefer Professional Style Curler RRP$19.99

OMG, now this device is amazing, not to forget how great the price is. I don't think you could find one cheaper anywhere else. I use this curler every time I curl my hair. It gives me tight curls which I then brush out, to have beachy waves for that effortless look.

Model Co.jpg

Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo Glow RRP$49

This product is one of the more expensive products on my 5 star review. Though it is definitely worth the mention. This multitasking balm is suitable for everyone, simply apply before foundation to give your skin that glow. The light reflecting particles give your skin that blurred effect whilst giving your skin hydration throughout the day. I actually bought this product without reading any reviews. My skin was looking dry due to the weather and I thought I'd take a gamble. I'm so happy I did because I'm so in love with this product.

Avene Thermal Water

Avène Thermal Spring Water RRP $19.99 150g

I have rosacea, dehydrated and sensitive skin, yes it's a lot. But this product is much more than water in a can. This product soothes my skin and calms my rosacea. I use this as a toner after cleansing, After using this  for more than a few days you will notice your skin is a lot calmer. This not only helped my skin, but it's extremely cooling on those really hot days!

Bondi Sands

Bondi Sands

Self Tanning Foam Ultradark RRP$24.99 200ML

I absolutely love this brand, and all their tanning products. I have tried many other tanning brands in my life but I always resort back to Bondi Sands. The colour is natural, the price is incredible for the size of the bottle and you can see the application once applied. Plus I got to meet the two creators of Bondi Sands and they were extremely genuine and passionate about their products.

There are plenty more great products and brands sold at Priceline like NYX, Rimmel, Nude by Nature, Ego and my list could go on forever, but the ones listed above are just some of the products that stand out above the rest.

My First Time Trying CoolSculpting.

Firstly, to understand the experience I underwent, we need to know what exactly CoolSculpting is and how it works. So continue on reading to find out how I was able to banish 3cm under my bust line.

CoolSculpting was developed by Zeltiq, and is the only fat-freezing procedure FDA-cleared. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting—so you'll look great from every angle.

The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. This is all done without damaging the neighbouring tissue.

Late last year I was given the opportunity to trial Coolsculpting at Renew Medispa by Hunter Plastic Surgery. Before the procedure commenced I met the lovely ladies, Amber and Alesha that were assisting my treatment on the day. They were extremely kind and sensitive to the fact that I had undressed to my bra and underwear to show my areas of concern. As you know that isn't the most comfortable moment in your life, especially when you're not happy with your body.

I agreed with the team, that the bra rolls were my major concern and that I was a perfect candidate for CoolSculpting, I then went into another consultation room for 3D photos so we could track my before and after photos accurately. During this time I also watched a video on how Coolsculpting works and was informed of some of the side effects. Nothing alarmed me, even though Alesha did say some people suffer from bruising and stinging in the area treated.

So now it was time to start the Coolsculpting treatment, I went into another room where I could see the CoolSculpting device. Alesha started to draw some markings on my back where the device would sit to get the best results. During this whole process I was informed the whole way along of what they were doing and what sensations I should be feeling, so I definitely felt comfortable in her hands.

A gel was applied to the area, followed by a sheet that looks like paper, this stops the skins surface from damage. The applicator cup was then applied to both my left and right side of my bra rolls. The applicator cup has a gentle vacuum pressure to draw in the excess bulge into the two cooling panels inside the cup. Upon suction, I instantly felt a pulling sensation which was caused by the vacuum pressure in the area being treated. This firm pull is enough to ensure the tissue will be cooled most efficiently. The tight pulling sensation was fine for me, but I was advised that some find this uncomfortable for a few minutes. Within a few minutes you also start to feel the intense cold sensation, but that diminishes with a few minutes. Once the shock of the suction and the cooling had subsided, I was comfortable enough to relax and watch a movie on an IPad, and eat some goodies that are supplied to all clients who have CoolSculpting at Renew Medispa, this is to make sure all clients are able to relax, as the treatment is 1 hour per area.

After the hour had finished, Alesha gently removes the suction cup and the sheet protector to reveal a solid block of fat which they call "butter stick", cause thats what it resembles (see image below). The solid block of fat then gets massaged, to unfreeze and warm up the area (see video below).

Since my treatment, there has been a new development in the CoolSculpting world. You can now have treatments performed in 35mins vs the 1 hour using a new applicator called the CoolAdvantage. Both equally as effective, just one is quicker than the other. After the massage I felt a temporary numbness in the treated area. In fact, this is normal and will resolve within a few hours or up until eight weeks after the procedure. The suction cup cause slight tenderness and surface redness, but this typically resolves with a few days, to a few weeks. There is no recovery time and I could resume normal activities immediately afterwards. The next day I had a bit of bruising in the treated area but nothing that stopped me from continuing on with my day. In fact I was moving house the next day and I was able to assist.

You may start to see changes as quickly as 3 weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after 2 months. Your body will still continue to flush out fat cells for up to 4 to 6 months after treatment. 14 weeks later, I went back to Renew Medispa by Hunter Plastic Surgery to get my after photos taken (see below for photos).

Overall, I would recommend this treatment to anyone looking at removing any areas of concern. I can definitely see a difference in my bra rolls, especially when I wear fitted tops, and when I remeasured myself. To my surprise I lost 3cm around bra roll area, and I couldn't be happier! I'm looking forward to booking in for my next treatment.
