Wedding Ready Skin With DMK Skincare

The Quest for Perfect Skin on my Wedding Day.

Before I get into the knit and gritty of this post I want to give you a run down on the brand I placed my trust in to get my skin wedding ready. DMK stands for Danné Montague-King the founder and creator, who has been a pioneer in the skincare industry since the 1960s. DMK’s concept of REMOVE, REBUILD, PROTECT, MAINTAIN aims to match an individual’s biochemistry with the appropriate skin therapy. Botanical-based paramedical products make up the DMK skin care program. With all this said I couldn’t find a bad/ negative review anywhere on the web and boy did I look.

I personally left my skin journey short (3 weeks), I wish I had started 3 months before, but Debbie my DMK Professional Skin Revision technician told me there was still hope to achieve my skin goals, which were for smoother skin, redness diminished and just overall more hydration . I’ll be updating this post as my in clinic treatments continue. Debbie has devised a plan of 3 in clinic treatments and at home regime to follow.

My first treatment consisted of a deep cleanse, a mild peel, some red vein serum applied which will help with my rosacea then the famous enzyme therapy, which enhances optimal skin functioning by working with the internal systems to increase circulation, oxygenation and lymphatic drainage tightens and strengthens the skin through enhanced collagen production.

At first, Enzyme therapy feels like all of the others, slightly thick in texture and normal. After a few minutes the mask will start to harden until finally it sets to a hard, it feels like concrete. It’s tight, a little itchy and feels as though the mask is alive because you can feel your skin start to pulsate. Sounds a bit odd but this mask enhances skin function by increasing circulation, oxygenation and lymphatic drainage, like I said above. It’s a type of reverse osmosis that flushes through the cells, clears toxins and free radicals and stimulates collagen production.

Once removed, Debbie then applied an infusion of products specific for my skin type and concerns. Lots of Biogen C, Seba - E drops and a Herbal and Mineral Mist. I was genuinely shocked at how much product was on my face and thought it would never absorb, but the Herbal Mist used assists with driving ingredients deep into the skin making this one of my new favourite products.

Round 1 In Clinic Treatment

Before (1st Clinic Treatment)
During My Enzyme Therapy
Plasmatic Effect After Enzyme Therapy
The Next Day

Skin felt extremely smooth and looked amazing, I couldn’t stop touching my, skin.

Round 2 In Clinic Treatment

After the Double Cleanse
Quick Peel (The Hot One) Applied

This peel was extremely hot but cooled down with a fan. The ingredient cassia from the Chinese cinnamon nut creates a pseudo heat that stimulates the surface vascular area which in turn causes a healing effect due to flushing fresh blood and lymph into the skin and removing old blood and lymph.

Enzyme Therapy Mask After 45 Mintues

It is impossible to look sexy in this mask. The mask sets like concrete, you can try and move your face but you won’t have much success.

Immediately after Enzyme Therapy Mask is Washed Off

Skin instantly looks fresher and redness reduced. I only had a small plasmatic effect after my second treatment which unfortunately didn’t show up in my photo.

At the End of my Second In Clinic Treatment

Round 3 In Clinic Treatment

After the Cleansing Regime
Enzyme Therapy Type 2 Mask Applied

This mask this is same as the original mask just the active ingredients are stronger.

After 3rd In Clinic Treatment

My skin looks overall clearer, smoother and more hydrated.

Overall I’m beyond happy with my results, it’s only been 3 weeks and I can already see changes in my skin which is relatively quick. I can also tell my rosacea is a lot calmer, which is one of my main concerns. I will continue to use some of the DMK Skincare products that I have at home. Some of the products I really loved and some I could pass on, though I will continue to use them all until I run out and then evaluate how my skins looking .

Some of the standout products for me were from the Enbioment Range, which is I lucky enough to try before it was available to the public. The Enbioment range reintroduces healthy bacteria and encourages the reestablishment of existing healthy bacteria essential to maintaining skin health. By rebalancing the microbiome of the skin, we help ensure the skin’s immune and mechanical barrier functions are performing optimally. An Easy Smile with EZ SMILE

A perfect smile is something a lot of people strive for, aligned teeth could help to reach that goal. People striving to have aligned teeth have to go through numerous dentist visits and may even need multiple procedures (tooth removal) to have aligned teeth, lets not forget about the huge expense. So lets talk about EZ SMILE.

How it’s different?

You have so many options to treat your teeth from the braces to other multiple treatments. All these solutions require some frequent visits to the dentists and appointments as well. Eventually, you end up having larger costs and financial burden as well. Most of the people could not think about the teeth alignment due to the expenses. EZ SMILE offers you a simple and cost-efficient way of having perfectly aligned teeth. It is a kind of independent teeth alignment setup that you can use without having multiple dentist appointments and works efficiently.

Does it cost much?

In comparison to the conventional and other dental methods of having teeth alignment, EZ SMILE costs very low. The initial kit comes with $99 that goes to almost $41.35 per week for the whole procedure. Collectively you will end up paying $2149 for having a perfect smile. It is much less and 70% cheaper than the traditional aligners. You are not able to find any other perfect solution to the aligners than EZ SMILE with this reduced cost.

Can you order it?

To evaluate whether EZ SMILE is for you or not all, you need to go through a simple questionnaire. With a set patterned questioner it will be analyzed whether EZ SMILE can work for you or not. Once you get the confirmation, you will be redirected to place an order for the impression kit.

How does it work for you?

After getting done with the initial quiz, you will order the impression kit. Once you have the kit, you need to place the impression of your teeth using the kit at home and send it to the EZ SMILE orthodontist .Using your impression, EZ SMILE lab will create a 3D teeth straightening plan for you. With the plan, you will get a demonstration video and initial aligners. It will also explain the number of aligners you may need in the procedure.

EZ SMILE comes with a larger success rate and gives ultimate results. It is a complete alignment treatment for the people who want to spend less and get better results. It is safe and less hectic as you do not have to take frequent appointments. Moreover, the aligners are fully transparent and comfortable to put on.

My experience with Ez smile

To start off my teeth weren’t bad, but I did have a few teeth that bothered me as they weren’t as straight like the rest, they were turned in and outwards, so when the opportunity arose to try EZ SMILE I couldn’t have been happier. I watched Instagrammer/ YouTuber Jade Madden’s review and it looked like such a simple process and her results are amazing.

As mentioned above, you firstly need to fill out the questionnaire to see if you are eligible for an EZ SMILE transformation, I was successful, so from there you get sent your impression kit. The impression can be made in the comfort of your own home, all you need is a mirror. There are also videos online to help you make your impression if your not feeling confident, but it was very easy, once this is complete you can send you impression away for EZ SMILE to start making you aligners. One of the most exciting parts is when you receive your 3D teeth straightening plan, a video that shows your teeth from the beginning and then at the end of your transformation. I was so exciting when I watched the video I just couldn’t wait to begin my transformation. I didn’t experience any discomfort wearing my aligners at all, though when changing to the new set they sometimes feel tight but nothing that would be of any concern. I haven’t finished my transformation yet, my top teeth required 14 aligners and my bottom teeth required 8 aligners so at the moment I’m on my 6th set, so stay tuned on my blog and instagram to see my final results.

Onto my 6th Set of aligners 8 more to go on my top teeth.

Onto my 6th Set of aligners 8 more to go on my top teeth.

Grown Alchemist Beauty Products

My Review of Grown Alchemist.

Grown Alchemist, an Australian skin care brand with an array of products made from ground-breaking scientific formulations is a welcome addition to the vast array of beauty care products already in the market.

What makes Grown Alchemist beauty products special though is their formulation. They contain natural peptides and antioxidants that enhance skin renewal and diminish the effects of anti-aging.

But just because you hear scientific formulations should be no cause for alarm as the products are 100 % organic.

These range of beauty products from creams, to oils, cleansers, moisturisers and anti-aging serums all work to renew, cleanse and moisturise the skin from within. So go on and stimulate your inner beauty with these organic, clinically proven formulations that lessen fine lines and wrinkles giving your skin that beautiful, glowing, youthful skin.

The Geniuses Behind Grown Alchemists

Grown Alchemist skincare range with all-organic ingredients was the brainchild of Australian brothers Keston and Jeremy Mujis. They effortlessly fused together scientific formulations and natural ingredients to produce an all-organic beauty skin care range that optimises the health of the skin above all.  These certified natural botanical ingredients and powerful natural formulations provided the ultimate beauty results without the damaging effects of artificial ingredients. They ethically assembled the products into beautiful packages and made them all-affordable across the divide. The result has been a sustained wave of uptake into the market owing to their great results on the skin and pocket friendly prices.

Owing to their success, Grown Alchemist now have devolved cosmetic chemists based in London, New York and Paris. These are dedicated in the in their quest for perfect beauty formulations for all.

What Grown Alchemist Believes

Beauty is natural so should everything that enhances it.  Mother Nature already has ingredients discovered by the two Australian brothers that came together and cleverly fused them for our own benefit. Thanks to them hairs now breathe better, our skins are glowing with health and vitality and our general outlook has improved because when you look good, you feel good!

That said Grown Alchemist viewpoint on cleansing is about eliminating impurities as opposed to natural water-binding formulations that keep skin saturated and tight. They believe that by organically optimising the functions of the skin, the skin on its own is able to achieve real beauty results. A double cleanse routine comes highly recommended as it first, removes make-up, and effects pollution and daily dirt build-up on the skin. This is followed by a second skin cleanse that leaves the skin fresh, clear and well-adjusted. The result is a radiant, youthful skin.

Grown Alchemist beauty care products range include: specially formulated skincare cleansers, serums and anti-aging moisturisers; body care exfoliants, body washes, and oils; and professional hair care treatments, volumizing, anti-frizz, detoxing, strengthening, nourishing and hair colour products among others.

My Review on Some of the Grown Alchemist Products I've Tried

Firstly, before I get started on individual product reviews, how beautiful is the packaging of all the Grown Alchemist products, I love the brown glass and the simplicity of the design, plus every single item I tried smells so nice and botanical. I throughly enjoyed using the Grown Alchemist regime I must say. The Grown Alchemist products I reviewed are from Mecca.

Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser: Olive Leaf & Plantago Extract

A beautiful creamy cleanser that goes a long way, I was able to remove my makeup using this cleanser and it didn't hurt my eyes either, though I did find I needed a little more help with my mascara, so I use this as my secondary cleanse. This cleanser is enriched with olive leaf, vitamins A and E, quercetin, rutin and kaempferol to fight visible signs of ageing, yarrow extract to tone and firm, red seaweed extract to even out tone and texture and plantago extract to cleanse and tighten pores. Even with my sensitive skin I found this cleanser to be extremely gentle and it did not irritate the skin. I thoroughly enjoyed this cleanser and will continue to use until it runs out. This cleanser retails for $49 for 100ml and I have been using this cleanser twice a day for the last 4 weeks and I'm not even half way through.

Hydra-Mist+: Desert Lime & Amino-Peptide

A lightweight yet potent facial mist infused with a whole host of skin-loving botanicals to treat skin beyond the surface level. I spray a few pumps morning and night after my shower, I love the smell very botanical with a hint of lime. I was skeptical of the small size of the bottle, I thought this won't last very long, especially with my heavy hand when it comes to misting, though it lasted 1 month using twice a day and heavily spraying my face too. This mist retails for $30 for 30ml. This did not irritate my skin either, I always worry about trying new products because you never know which ones will cause me to flush if I'm unaware of the ingredients, none of the Grown Alchemist products I tried made me flush or irritate my skin, which is a good sign.

Regenerating Night Cream: Neuro-Peptide & Violet Leaf Extract

This products retails for $95 for 40g, which seems very small but it is extremely worth it. This is my favourite product for the ones I've listed here today. This is a night moisturiser that is a rich thick cream  consistency that feels like nothing on your skin when applied, you will not feel this product on your skin once absorbed which is almost instantly. You will wake up with your skin feeling nourished, hydrated and refreshed. I also noticed that my skin looked as though I didn't have any rosacea concerns which is amazing. This cream contains so many beneficial ingredients such as neuropeptides that act to boost collagen and elastin levels, increase cohesion and stabilization of collagen networks and reducing degradation of collagen structure to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it also is infused with frankincense extract to calm and soothe, violet extract to even skin tone, antioxidant-rich green tea extract to fight damaging free radicals, omega 7 to heal and hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate.

Detox Serum Antioxidant+3 Complex

This product I apply twice a day, morning and night, and at night I follow with the Regenerating Night Cream: Neuro-Peptide & Violet Leaf Extract, this in conjunction with the moisturiser has totally changed my skin, I will be inserting a photo below that wasn't intended on going on my blog so I do apologise for the background and its unprofessional appearance, but you can see my skin just looks a whole look clearer, from pigmentation and redness from old acne scars and signs of dehydration are gone. This product retails for $65 for 30ml, and I'm not even 1/4 through yet and it's been a month using twice a day.

Overall, I'm so impressed with Grown Alchemistthe brand actual excites me and I can't wait to try more products from them, I never thought I'd say that cause I usually try so many cosmeceuticals type of products, and tend to not review many organic products. See the picture below to see what you think, although I do have a birthmark in the centre of my forehead and a small pimple on my cheek. This image was taken straight after I had a swim, hence the t-shirt wrapped around my hair. Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin

New Avène Sun Care products for face and body that offer the highest UVB and UVA protection** have hit Austalia, and these New Sun Care products are for even the most sensitive skin, isn't that great to hear ladfies and gents.

Backed by 20 years of dermatological expertise for sensitive skin, Eau Thermale Avène is proud to add its first high protection, water resistant sunscreen products to its extensive skincare range. Just in time for summer, the range comprises a Sunscreen Emulsion SPF 50+ and Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+, with both offering high quality, broad spectrum sun protection for all types of sensitive skin.

The Sun Care range includes Avène’s Sunscreen Emulsion SPF 50+ ($26.95, 50ml), which has been formulated specifically for the face, and Avène’s Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ ($28.95, 100ml), for both face and body. Both Avène Sun Care products are water resistant (up to 40 minutes), free from parabens and offer high SPF 50+ sun protection, maximum photostability and tolerance for even the most sensitive skin.

Avène’s patented SunSitive® Protection formula uses an exclusive combination of ingredients, with a minimum number of chemical filters to respect sensitive skin, while still offering broad- spectrum protection from UVB and UVA rays. Key ingredients in the formula include:

  • Photo-protection complex: Works in synergy to offer a formulation with a minimum of chemical filters, to suit sensitive skin

  • Pre-tocopheryl: Formulated with a photostable Vitamin E precursor

  • Very rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water

Avène’s Sunscreen Emulsion SPF 50+ has been formulated specifically for the face and has a light, non-greasy, non-sticky and mattifying texture for even and invisible protection, while also moisturising the skin. It can be used every day under make-up to provide effective UV protection, prevent premature skin ageing and assist in preventing some skin cancers.

Likewise, Avène’s sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ boasts a light and non-greasy texture that offers an extremely pleasant application. Highly moisturising, the Lotion is quick to absorb, without leaving white marks.

Here in Australia, where our incidence of skin cancer is one of the highest in the world, the harmful effects of UVB and UVA rays are well known, and damage from these rays can result in sunburn, premature ageing of the skin and the possible development of skin cancer, with nearly one in three Australians being diagnosed with skin cancer during their lives. Both Avène Sun Care products are designed to help prevent the damage that can be caused by UVB and UVA rays.

Avène’s Sun Care products are designed to be applied generously and evenly, 20 minutes prior to sun exposure. They should also be reapplied 40 minutes after swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every two hours.

Avène’s Sun Care range are available at leading pharmacies nationwide. Visit for stores.
